Opioid Treatment Manager Duties: Ensure 10 opioid treatment related projects are contracted for and managed according to DSHS contact management and monitoring policies and procedures. Working with contractors to ensure the target number of individuals are reached within each project timeline. Work closely with state agency partners. Manage contracts effectively. Look for opportunities to enhance their projects through additional investments or allied partnerships. Prepare and submit timely project reports to WA-STR Project Director. Develop presentations designed to educate the community on issues related to Prescription Drug/Opioid Overdose-Related Deaths.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Social Work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field, or a JD Degree; and 3 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health or chemical dependency treatment service programs. OR A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a health or social Science, public administration or a related field; and 5 years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health services programs, or chemical dependency treatment service programs. OR 2 years of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2, Social Worker 3, or Financial Services Specialist 4 or above. Program and project management experience with grants and opioid use disorder to develop partnerships across state agencies who have a common vision and purpose. Specialized experience and knowledge in understanding of federal and state statutes, regulations, expectations of funders, rules, and policies; and how they relate to opioid use disorder prevention, intervention and treatment services. Specialized experience and knowledge of medication assisted treatment (methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone products) and opioid overdose prevention and naloxone. Ability to develop and evaluate programs. Work effectively with staff and local agencies. Team player. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Write clearly and effectively.
