Associate Counsel The candidate will manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced office environment. Will provide legal advice on proposed business arrangements. Supports employer wellness division. Provides regulatory support on mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. Works with Research and Development team on studies with various research institutions. Coordinates with compliance personnel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Appraises and keeps management informed about the impact of legislative judicial and regulatory developments affecting Company policies and operations. Reviews and approves marketing materials, advertising copy and public statements from a legal perspective. Provides input and legal advice on business strategy, tactical plan development and implementation, and other business issues; including legal assessments, solutions-oriented risk mitigation strategies, messaging, and interactions with healthcare professionals, patients and other external parties. Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state compliance regulations as well as the True Health Code of Conduct and Ethical Responsibility, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse laws.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have a J.D. Degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing in a US jurisdiction. Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in recognized Healthcare / Life Sciences practice or in a healthcare company. Experience with ACOs a plus. Strong understanding of business issues and grasp of financial matters is essential. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and business law is required. Should be well versed in healthcare laws, including Stark and Anti-Kickback. Experience in the laboratory or life sciences industry is a plus.
