Offerings and Services Regulatory Compliance Counsel - Health Duties: Providing the legal support for regulatory compliance of Accenture offerings and services within his offerings and services regulatory compliance subgroup. Responsible for the offerings and services assigned to him in his offerings and services regulatory compliance subgroup, for (i) performing regulatory risk assessment and designing and implementing compliance programs for offerings and services from creation through delivery and (ii) acting as a legal advisor and providing legal support to merger and acquisitions and strategic and complex opportunities in order to identify regulatory issues and to design and implement required offering related compliance plans. Responsible for providing proactive strategic offerings advice to Accenture Businesses and Industries leadership and team within his remit. Assists with all of the forgoing and works with Legal’s Sales and Delivery personnel and Business teams to ensure that our contractual agreements appropriately address regulatory issues relating to offerings and services. Collaborates with and leverages expertise from all teams within CORE, Strategic and Complex Contracting, Transaction Contracting and Contract Management, V&A and other Corporate functions. Collaborates with Litigation, Government Relations and Corporate Investigations teams to design and implement remediation plan related to offering and services regulatory issues.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent law degree (based on geography) required with tenure in good standing with one state Bar. 15+ years of experience as an attorney providing services and regulatory compliance advices to the industry, including experience as a transactional attorney and 4 years of which involved management responsibility for other legal professionals Regulatory Compliance expertise in the health area, including health related data privacy and security expertise. 3+ years of experience with health care regulation, with direct experience at a large health insurance company/HMO or pharmacy benefit manager or the health care practice group of a major law firm. A good understanding of the following regulatory areas: utilization review, third party administrator and pharmacy benefits manager regulation; individual clinical licensure regulation (nurse, physician pharmacist); Medicare, Medicaid, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute. General understanding of the Affordable Care Act is important; familiarity with insurance plan accreditation standards (URAC, NCQA) is helpful. An understanding of medical device regulation is a plus.
