Director, Risk Management Services, FCH - Risk Management Duties: Responsible for overall management and administration of enterprise risk management and insurance services for company's the designated healthcare facility and for company's physician employees with primary affiliation at the designated facility. Advises executive leadership of potential risk exposures and proposes mechanisms to eliminate and/or minimize these risks. Advise the company's group practice leadership of its risk exposures and implement a risk prevention program. Develops and implements programs to comply with risk related regulatory and accrediting agency requirements for the facility and company's physicians. Manages day-to-day risk management and insurance program operations. Develops risk education programs for hospital, clinic, physician office and system staff. Assists in the management of property, fiduciary, automobile, resident program, general liability and medical malpractice lines of insurance for the health system. Provides consultative oversight to the worker's compensation program. May be assigned other risk management system responsibilities as needed throughout the enterprise. Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Law or a closely related field is required. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare is required. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or J.D. degree is preferred. Certificate in Risk Management (e.g. CPCU or ARM) is preferred. 8-10 years risk progressive enterprise risk management experience in a large hospital or healthcare system is required. 8-10 years of healthcare legal experience may also be considered. 8-10 years progressive insurance portfolio experience in a large health system is required. Prior experience must include negotiation of insurance settlements of claims. 5+ years of healthcare risk management experience is required. Extensive, in-depth knowledge of the legal system and insurance industry. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various departments and various levels of management, including senior leaders as necessary and as requested. Strong analytical skills for medical and legal research for reporting and memorandum as needed.
