IT And PA Data Privacy And Protection Associate- HIPAA The candidate must have degree in a business related field. Juris Doctorate degree; CPA or CIPP is preferred. Should have 1 year of experience in data protection or a related field. Should preferable demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success related to: key US, state and international privacy laws and regulations; current frameworks, technologies, emerging trends, and best practices related to data privacy; privacy and information security programs including, data flow analysis, risk assessments, participating in the development of policies and procedures, business process controls, incident response plans, monitoring, reporting, and training and awareness programs. Must preferable demonstrates some level of, and/or a proven record of success with, the following skills: Privacy and data security law and practice, participating in privacy impact assessments, writing data protection and privacy policies, writing data protection and privacy education and training materials, participating in the development and implementation of data protection, privacy and information security programs; Creating high quality deliverables using appropriate business and technical language; Collaborating with clients, identifying and addressing client needs through building solid relationships with clients; understanding the client's business; delivering clear requests for information; developing an awareness of Firm services and bringing potential opportunities to the attention of supervisors; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor; As a team member, creating or contributing to a positive working environment through building solid relationships with team members by understanding personal and team roles, proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff (e.g. interns) and keeping supervisors abreast of work status and any concerns in a timely manner. -Using available technical resources and tools to research and expand one's sphere of knowledge to enhance work product, significantly contribute to business development efforts and to remain up to date on client and firm hot topics while sharing the knowledge amongst the team where applicable. Demonstrates a proven record of success in roles within a professional services firm or large enterprise as an individual contributor to small and large data privacy-related projects involving the following: Enhancement of data privacy programs; Privacy impact and gap assessments; Data inventories; Creation of incident response plans; IT risk management and data security (i.e. PCI and FISMA); Review of third-party data exchange/international agreements; Cross-border data transfer issues, including Safe Harbor certification; Investigations and investigatory responses to data privacy and security incidents with FTC and other regulatory agencies.
