Senior Corporate Counsel - Clinical IT Duties: Perform regulatory work and review with focus on clinical IT development, fraud and abuse, and reimbursement. Provide general healthcare advice on compliance, regulatory and clinical IT development issues, including advice on the False Claims Act, Beneficiary Inducement, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and federal healthcare program participation. Provide counsel to the executive teams. Coordinate with other legal groups on regulatory, risk, compliance, and operational issues. Provide accurate updates and reporting on organizational risks to managers. Ability to handle legal and administrative work, help on management processes. Outside counsel management.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree with 5+ years legal experience in healthcare. State Bar Admission and good standing. Understanding and experience with relevant health care compliance issues (i.e., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, False Claims Act, HIPAA, practice management issues). Understanding and experience with IT systems and clinical IT development. Prior legal experience within healthcare field. Strong communication skills, written and oral.
