U.S. Senior Compliance Associate Duties: Independently assess scope of proposal/contract representations and certifications, with limited oversight by supervisors. Independently research and formulate legal interpretations regarding federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies, with limited oversight by supervisors. Independently Maintain files in connection with the representations and certifications. Independently prepare routine certified disclosures for Requests for Proposals and Contracts. Independently ensure that contracts contain language which is corporate compliant. Participate in the creation of business procedures and processes as well as training to ensure optimal levels of compliance and to mitigate identified areas of compliance risk. Professionally and clearly communicate with other business units, including with proposal managers, business managers, area managers, project managers, legal, treasure, tax, safety, subcontracts and finance personnel. Escalate employee concerns about ethical and legal violations to compliance supervisors. Serve as a reliable subject matter expert on assigned compliance related topics. Other duties as designated by supervisors.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. JD Degree or CCEP a plus. Previous experience interpreting laws, regulations, and policies. 3+ years of professional experience (or equivalent educational experience) in management of government or commercial contract compliance, business ethics, or similar regulatory compliance matter. Previous law firm or compliance department experience preferred. Experience in Engineering and/or the Construction sectors preferred. Ability to work as a team member and collaborate with others within the department. Must have excellent communications and organizational skills, be able to type, and be well versed in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to handle fast-paced environment with time-sensitive workloads. Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values even if pressured to do so. Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient. Must be able to think outside the box, while staying within legal and ethical lines.
