Senior Attorney - Litigation and Regulatory The candidate will be a member of the Litigation/Regulatory team within the Legal Department, which handles commercial and corporate disputes, responds to subpoenas and government inquiries, and provides general regulatory and compliance counseling. Managing corporate litigation, the Litigation/Regulatory team provides advice to retail store chains on a wide variety of topics including: consumer protection; intellectual property; product safety and labeling; marketing; corporate and social compliance; trade and regulatory compliance; privacy and information security. Provides an opportunity to work with talented individuals from many different departments, ranging from Merchandising, Product Development and Marketing to Finance, Information Technology and Store Operations.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree and 4-7 years of well-rounded litigation experience, either at a top-tier law firm or in-house. Strong academic credentials. Experience providing legal advice that is practical as well as legally sound. Comfort managing and prioritizing multiple matters simultaneously – ranging from the complex to the straightforward. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to connect well with internal clients. Must be willing to work on all of the above topics, though experience and business needs will determine which of these topics become core parts of this Senior Attorney role.
