Counsel Candidate will handle assignments in one or more of the following areas: Banking Structure, Monetary Affairs, Litigation and Enforcement, International Banking, Legal Services. Drafts memoranda to the Board, orders, staff opinion letters, legislative and regulatory proposals, court pleadings. Furnishes legal opinions and advice and responds to System and public inquires concerning Federal statues, interpretations and opinions concerning the supervision and regulation of banks, regulatory responsibilities of the Board, Reserve Bank matters. Conduct litigation on behalf of the Board. Will be responsible for representing the Board in litigation in a variety of areas including EEO matters, the banking laws, and the Freedom of Information Act, and may represent the agency in administrative enforcement actions against financial institutions and affiliated parties. May also oversee the work of other litigating attorneys.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel to the government or a corporation, conducting litigation in federal district and appellate courts and/or before administrative tribunals. Should have experience in all aspects of federal civil and appellate court practice. U.S. Citizenship and Bar membership are required.
