Senior Regulatory Analyst Duties: Supporting Company compliance with statutory, regulatory and/or judicial requirements. Supporting Company establishing and maintaining its authority to do business in all jurisdictions. Identifying, analyzing, researching and communicating new and revised statutes and regulations applicable to multiple US domiciled insurers (licensed and surplus lines), two managing general agencies and varied business units providing commercial insurance programs and products. Support management of Company market conduct and financial examinations. Analysis and research of statutes and regulations for preparation of responses to internal inquiries. Partner with Argo business units to respond to regulatory and legislative compliance inquires relative to new/existing insurance programs and products. Facilitate preparation of Complaint responses to regulatory complaints/inquiries and maintenance of associated records. Support Company compliance with regulatory data reporting for US insurers (i.e., certificate of authority renewals, eligibility renewals, financial report submissions, data reporting).
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for law degree or law school attendance. Completion of a relevant professional designation program (i.e. CPCU). 5+ years of relevant professional experience within property and casualty insurance industry regulatory compliance or legal operations. Substantial knowledge of regulatory compliance processes and the application of state and federal laws to property and casualty insurance. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to balance multiple inquiries and competing demands. Good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argo’s and our customers’ ability to be profitable). Proficient in the use of computer programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. A strong focus on execution in getting things done right. Proven ability to consistently produce and deliver expected results to all stakeholders. Independent decision maker – takes full responsibility for making decisions and consequences associated with decisions. Intellectual curiosity – the ability to consistently consider all options and is not governed by conventional thinking. Client focus – the ability to effectively determine specific client needs and to provide value added solutions.
