Profile

Compliance Specialist Responsibilities: Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of the business, organizational structure, reporting relationships, core business practices, and policies as these relate to compliance and ethics obligations. Liaison between external and internal contacts and clients. Manages documents, data, and databases relating to legal ethics and compliance function. Collaborates with clients to develop positive and proactive approaches to corporate and healthcare compliance. Monitors state and federal law requirements. Manages efforts to comply with the federal (Sunshine Act) and state law reporting requirements impacting interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). Files state and federal reports, conducts training, monitors and audits activities to support the reporting obligations and to assure the continuing compliance with legal and regulatory reporting obligations. Manage the processes and programs governing interations with HCPs, including contract administration process for HCP agreements. Drafts and negotiates agreements with HCPs, including speaker and advisory board agreements Performs risk assessment and monitoring. Investigates complaints and verifies that deficiencies are corrected. Consults with other departments in the Roche Group, including global teams, e.g. as part of compliance management activities and ensures that Roche corporate procedures are consistently implemented and adhered to. Organize and/or support annual Corporate Compliance and Ethics week Other duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. JD Degree; and CCEP certification preferred. 5+ years' experience managing reporting obligations, HCP agreements, and compliance risk assessments in a regulated environment, preferably in the diagnostics, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device industry. Relevant experience in a respected law firm, auditing firm, and/or multinational corporation, preferably in both settings. In-depth experience with one or more of the following practice areas: FDA law, health care law, or other practice area predominated by U.S. governmental law and regulation applicable to the healthcare industry. Strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain open, candid and trusting work relationships. Exhibits a high level of objectivity, integrity, motivation, team orientation, professionalism and trustworthiness, and places a high value on the value of doing business with ethics and integrity.
