Adjunct Faculty - Political Science Duties: Creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School. Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to courses being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: An earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in political science or public administration; or an earned J.D. Degree, from a regionally accredited institution; or A qualified faculty member teaching POLS 101 or 210 meets the course standard through one of two routes: Meets the political science discipline standard, or an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in one or a combination of the following disciplines: political science, public administration, history; or A qualified faculty member teaching POLS 112, 201, or 220 meets the course standard through one of two routes: Meets the political science discipline standard, or an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in one or a combination of the following disciplines: political science, public administration; or A qualified faculty member teaching POLS 211 meets the course standard through one of two routes: an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in political science or an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in one or a combination of the following disciplines: political science, history.
