Tribal Attorney The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, interpretations, and opinions on all legal matters which may result during operation of the Tribal Government. Work load includes varied assignments ranging from civil litigation to transactional work. Responsible for managing the Office of Tribal Attorney and its budget. Work closely with outside counsel with whom the Tribe has contracted with for additional specific legal representation. Must have Juris Doctorate degree and 3+ years directly related experience. Must be an active member of the Washington State Bar Association. Should preferably have experience with American Indian/ Alaska Native communities and Tribal Governments. Experience in active practice within the field of Indian law issues is preferred.
