Trial Court Law Clerk Candidate will be responsible for drafting memoranda, opinions, orders, and reports; conducting legal research; reviewing briefs and case files; and advising judges on pending litigation and issues. Large portion of a law clerk’s assignment focuses on pro se postconviction motions.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate should have JD degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the Florida Bar or a membership with the Florida Bar within one year of hire. Must possess an ability to research and apply Florida law. Must possess an ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters in accordance with Court Administration policies, the Rules Regulating Florida Bar, the Florida Statutes, and the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration.
