Foreclosure Litigation Supervisor Duties: Provide leadership, direction and coordination of all activities for the default functions specific to the mediated, litigated, and contested foreclosure actions in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines. Responsible for supervising contested/litigated foreclosure timelines and workflow processes on escalated, high risk in which a foreclosure action has been initiated. These files should be managed in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance. Reports to the Vice President of Foreclosure and directly supervises a team of Foreclosure Litigation Specialists. Responsible for servicing mortgage accounts to ensure the escalated contested/litigated matter is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines. Manages/Audits escalated contested/litigated cases by interacting and instructing various parties such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, and any other party involved with the escalated foreclosure. Monitors/Audits escalated contested/litigated cases, identifying trends or risks associated with the portfolio. Proactively address potential loss exposure issues to ensure recourse is protected and initiated against prior servicers, vendors or third parties. Manage investor reporting requirements for contested/litigated cases. Propose and arrange settlement structures when needed to achieve resolution of cases. Provide senior management detailed loss analysis, investor scenarios, and recommendations for resolution. Attend in-person and telephonic court appearances and trials, acting as an expert witness on behalf of RoundPoint. Recommend modifications to policies, procedures or risk rating methods to improve risk identification and mitigation. Hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence. Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners. Perform related duties as assigned by manager. Responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Required, JD Degree Preferred. 2+ years of Supervisory Experience Preferred. 2+ Years Mortgage Servicing Experience Preferred. 2+ Years Foreclosure Experience Preferred. 2+ Years Litigation Experience Preferred. GSE and Government Experience Preferred. LPS Desktop Solution Experience Preferred. Knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook. Requires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead staff.
