Part-time Senior Associate Attorney The candidate will provide legal services in the areas of healthcare and FDA law, and in related areas such as employment law and general corporate law. Will research and analyze complex legal issues and writing analytical memos for the firm's clients on topics such as: fraud and abuse / Stark / anti-kickback; the corporate practice of medicine; regulation of dietary supplements or cosmetics; and structures for healthcare ventures. Assess legal risk and discussing legal strategy and solutions with clients. Prepare compliance documents. Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts, including: management services agreements, M&A documents (such as a shareholders' purchase agreement); employment agreements; staffing agreements; and so on. Report directly to the Firm's sole Equity Shareholder (Owner).
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be a high academic achiever at an ABA-accredited law school, with demonstrably top-notch legal research and writing skills. Must have 5+ years of legal practice experience and substantive mastery of either: Healthcare law or FDA and FTC law. Should also have experience with a synergistic area of law such as employment law, corporate/securities law, real estate, or intellectual property law, with a desire to learn healthcare and FDA law. Must be a member of the Bar, admitted to one or more states (ideally, including California, New York, or Washington, DC).
