Equity Deal Manager - Low Income Housing Tax Credit The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day tax credit transaction closings including documentation, negotiation and coordination, as well as leading deal calls and running document negotiations with clients and third parties. Responsible for transaction negotiation as well as substantive review and coordination of legal and due diligence documentation. Also responsible for ensuring that deal documentation comports with underwriting assumptions and projections. Play a key role as the day-to-day contact for the client and its counsel in addition to coordinating with internal and external financing sources and the Legal Department. Work with underwriting and credit to identify and mitigate business and legal risks and contribute to approval packages/meetings. In addition to daily functions, assist with the integration effort between CLI debt and equity platforms with respect to documentation standards.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in the following: real estate, finance, and legal document review. Desired: Ability to manage large groups of both internal and external parties efficiently. Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills. Law Degree from an accredited institution. 3+ years’ experience with low-income housing tax credit transactions. Experience with a tax credit investor/syndicator. Transaction-closing experience. Proven knowledge of the commercial real estate industry. Knowledge and experience in the affordable housing industry. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and relationship/partnership building skills. Proven ability in achieving success in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and possess a high level of drive and enthusiasm. Strong multi-tasking abilities. Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to negotiate with numerous parties and reach agreeable solutions.. Strong analytical, presentation and critical reasoning skills.
