Associate - Public Finance The candidate should have a J.D. degree and admission to a state bar. At least two(2) years of experience in municipal and public finance. At least two years of experience dealing with a variety of tax-exempt bond issuances and other types of public finance transactions. Experience representing at least two of the following types of clients: public agencies, governmental entities, special purpose districts, commercial banks or investment banks. Experience with counseling on matters of taxable and tax-exempt financing, initial offering and continuing disclosure, bankruptcy and credit issues, and compliance with state and municipal laws, and federal and state securities laws is considered a plus. Experience in representing issuers, underwriters, nonprofit borrowers and developers is preferred. The ideal candidate should be a high performer who can demonstrate superior communication skills; have excellent academic credentials; possess good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients; be diligent and detail-oriented; demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively; and show a strong interest in advancing a career in this practice. Large law firm experience preferred.
