Counsel II The candidate will support the consumer real estate origination business within Home Lending. Will provide legal advice to the company and senior management of the company and its principal subsidiaries in the above areas, as well as other related issues as they arise. Other responsibilities include conducting legal research projects, participating in due diligence investigations, and acting as an advisor to operations personnel in interpreting laws, regulations, regulator guidance and policies. Must have active State Bar membership ad 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney. Should have relevant experience in legal issues concerning mortgage origination, including Truth in Lending Act/Reg. Z, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act/Reg. X, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act/Reg. C, Equal Credit Opportunity Act/Reg. B and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) Rule. Familiarity with the roles of, and guidance issued by, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) applicable to mortgage lending is required. Extensive knowledge and understanding of research, counsel, and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries is preferred. Prior consumer lending or consumer real estate lending experience is desired. Application Deadline: August 16, 2017.
