Prominent Contra Costa County trusts and estates law firm with sophisticated practice seeking well-qualified legal assistant in the preparation, drafting, revising and proofreading of legal documents and correspondence; transmitting documents to clients, filings with courts and Secretary of State; maintaining attorney calendar and scheduling client appointments; working with paralegals on case management to ensure all deadlines are met; maintaining client databases and documents in physical and electronic files; notarizing documents. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience as a legal secretary / assistant with estate planning, probate, trust administration, and litigation; familiarity with probate court procedures; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure when necessary. Proficiency in MS Word required and familiarity with Judicial Council Forms preferred. Knowledge of Time Matters and PCLaw helpful but not necessary. Professionalism in dealing with clients a must. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Please submit your resume including references. Competitive compensation.
