Environmental Associate Attorney The candidate must have 4-6 years of experience. Should preferably have significant litigation experience and some knowledge of and experience with environmental law. Should preferably also have familiarity with federal court practice and significant experience taking and defending depositions, writing briefs, drafting pleadings, drafting affirmative and responsive discovery, and experience with routine and complex filings plus some courtroom experience (handling routine court appearances, arguing motions, and/or presenting witnesses). Strong academic record and excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills are required. Experience with the Environmental Protection Agency or New York State's Department of Environmental Conservation is preferred. Should also be licensed to practice law in New York. Some travel will be required.
