Regional Planning Manager The candidate will communicate regularly with home office, Regionals and District Managers to ensure buy-in and partnership in the execution of action plans for specific stores and districts. Will review sales, inventory and gross profit data to ensure space allocation and ranking by department is appropriate to store performance. Uncover successes in one store that may be unrealized in another store. Implements action plans to realize opportunities. Partners with the District Manager, AVP of Store Operations and Regional Managers to develop action plans to target merchandise opportunities in district and specific stores. Travels regularly to these markets with the District managers. Interfaces with Planning and Allocation to ensure merchandise support for the action plans. Monitors the execution and reports the progress of the action plan to the appropriate parties. Performs detailed analysis of Tabletop expansion, Performs detailed analysis of the 10 lowest gross profit stores in their region. Reviews sales and gross profit performance of non-comp and new stores to aid the growth and development of the younger population of stores. Assist merchants and Planning and allocation in understanding the needs of these stores. Research competition and intrusion factors related to these stores. Schedules market visits with the merchants and Planning and Allocation to uncover and brainstorm business opportunities and action plans. Serves as a training resource by sharing conclusions of analysis with District Managers to ensure they have the advantage of this information when making business decisions. Ensures the Store Operations group has realistic merchandise expectations. Describe the kinds of decisions made by the incumbent (e.g., hire/fire, technical decisions, markdowns, merchandise pricing/selection). Specify what recommendations are referred to the next level of management or others for approval. Partners with Field and Home Office to create strategies to drive the business by Region/Market/Store.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law Degree. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is essential. Should have 7+ years of retail experience.
