Counsel, Supply Chain The candidate will work closely with the Supply Chain leadership team and other members of the Legal department. Provide legal advice and review to geographic and specialist teams within the Supply Chain organization including, but not limited to: contractual matters; joint ventures and strategic business relationships; purchase and sale agreements, general commercial arrangements, acquisitions and divestitures; leasing and property management matters; and liability claims. Provide primary legal support for global EHS organization, including to compliance assurance, interpretive guidance, and managing enforcement cases. Manage and optimize use of external counsel. Lead/drive the continuous improvement of legal processes and functions. Develop and provide legal training for business partners for contracts, anti-trust compliance, improper payments. Primary legal support for the Company's EHS audit program. Report on status of matters periodically. Proactively keep Legal Department and Supply Chain management team informed of developments of matters and cases. The candidate should have J.D., LL.B, or comparable law degree with strong academic record. Must have membership in the State Bar of North Carolina, or admitted in another U.S. jurisdiction. Should be an experienced commercial attorney with broad experience with a wide variety of commercial contracts, including purchasing, logistics, transportation, and related contracts, strategic relationships, compliance, and risk mitigation. Should preferable also have some experience with environmental, health and safety ( EHS ) issues. Prior experience with the legal issues faced by a multi-national corporation with a global manufacturing footprint is a plus. Must have 5 years of experience with a top law firm. Experience as an in-house attorney in a multi-national company a plus. Must have demonstrated superior collaboration and relationship building skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are needed. Should have ability to offer sound legal advice and evidence good business judgment in time sensitive situations.
