Environmental Transactions Associate The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in environmental and energy law to provide environmental support for mergers, acquisitions and sales, primarily involving energy businesses and energy assets. Would become part of the firm’s 16-lawyer environmental transactional group, which is situated in the Washington, San Francisco, and Houston offices. The work will include managing environmental due diligence, drafting and negotiating contractual provisions related to acquisitions and financing, drafting environmental disclosure provisions for SEC filings, research and analysis on environmental law topics, and providing environmental compliance and restructuring counseling. Must have experience in working with federal and state environmental statutes and regulations, a familiarity with the energy industry and regulatory scheme, and an understanding of the transaction process.
