Senior Environmental Litigation Attorney The candidate must have 10+ years of substantive experience in one (and preferably more than one) of the following areas of environmental law: CERCLA/MTCA; Clean Water Act (enforcement, §401 and/or §404 certifications); water rights; SEPA/NEPA; nuisance claims arising from environmental contamination or practices (waste water treatment or industrial processing); ESA; environmental insurance coverage; Clean Air Act; environmental permitting and/or permit violation defense; and FERC and/or EFSEC. Motion practice on dispositive motions with supervision of other attorneys and preparing other attorneys to argue such motions is required. The expectation is that this attorney could argue non-dispositive motions (discovery disputes or others) without supervision. Courtroom experience in at least one civil trial. Must have taken and defended depositions in cases without supervision. Taking or defending expert depositions would be a plus. Should be able to draft and respond to discovery requests without supervision. Must have experience working on document review and production, preparation of an administrative record or assembly of discovery documents, and the preparation of privilege logs. This position would require occasional travel in order to provide excellent legal service for firm clients.
