SVP Business Affairs, Film Music Duties: Lead and manage the business affairs and licensing function for film music. Negotiate and execute talent deals with composers and artists. Negotiate and execute soundtrack and in-house record label deals. Oversee the music licensing team, ensuring that we are negotiating state of the art deals with publishers, labels, artists and other rights owners. Oversee business for the current and legacy soundtrack projects partnering with record labels or in-house label. Manage deals with the in-house label for commercial release of our music. Maintain the integrity of our business practices and policies. Work closely with key counterparts and executives across the organization.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 10+ years' experience in music business affairs. Additional experience licensing, publishing and record labels a plus. Seasoned negotiator. Seasoned at managing and leading a team. Must have established relationships with key film-music oriented connections with agents, attorney’s, publishers, lables and counterparts at other studios. Must be proficient in and aware of current trends in music, upcoming artists as well as established acts, a fair amount of popular music history across all genres as well as trends and history of composers and film scores.
