Vice President, Feature Film Development, Production and Distribution, Legal Affairs The candidate will work for feature production group who will oversee all legal affairs aspects of the film development, production, post-production and distribution phases. Advise studio creative and production executives with respect to potential legal issues. Negotiate and draft agreements for the acquisition of motion picture material, film financing, distribution rights, settlement of various legal matters, and employment contracts with writers, producers, directors, actors and other artists. Review films, scripts, screen credits, marketing materials, product placement, and other content to identify and resolve intellectual property and rights clearance issues. Analyze budgets and other financial aspects of the films. Supervise outside counsel in connection with litigation, immigration, tax, and foreign law concerns. Should have ranked academic credentials. Must have active member of the California Bar. Should have 7 years of experience as an attorney with a minimum of 3 years’ current experience in entertainment law. Must have experience working in conjunction with the DGA, WGA, SAG-AFTRA, MPAA, British Equity, and other guilds and unions.
