Mineral Management Division Order Analyst Duties: Responsible for development and maintenance of division order policies and procedures. This position works with oil/gas company division order analysts, mineral managers, and high net worth clients across trust and mineral management delivery platforms. Partners with the private bank officers and mineral managers and is focused on delivering superior client service; works under limited supervision. Responsible for oversight of account performance related to mineral ownership, DOI verification, and other property related services which are carried out on behalf of all oil and gas accounts. Manages the process by which mineral interests are verified and ownership and payments are approved; directs and approves operator and purchaser notifications when changes are confirmed; oversees the functions by which suspense funds are identified and payors are notified; establishes and maintains relationships with purchasers and operators to ensure effective communication regarding ownership in wells; prepares or causes to be prepared monthly fee reports and division order activity log to ensure proper billing and compliance with department policies and procedures. Interacts with clients, Mineral Managers, oil company personnel, government personnel, attorneys, and lease brokers, via telephone, written communications, or meetings regarding mineral property title related transactions, problem resolution and account maintenance; serves as liaison between operational and support areas and customer; performs research and communicates resolution of problem to customer; resolves questions and problems presented by clients concerning transactions in their accounts and day-to-day operational issues. Interacts daily with internal and external contacts to ensure that Division Order verification and processing and other client requests are performed in a timely manner with special attention to timely resolution of client payment-related issues. Assists in the performance of complex administrative activities, which may include account distributions, asset descriptions, and data entry into the mineral property asset management system in order to facilitate administration, fee application, leasing, and revenue processing. Establishes controls and directs all aspects of division order processing in a manner to ensure processing is performed in accordance with SAS70 and Office of Comptroller of Currency (O.C.C.) monitored guidelines.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: J.D., Bachelor’s degree with 2 years work experience or 6 years work related experience. CLTA or CDOA certification preferred. Advanced knowledge of Oil and Gas Law. Extensive knowledge of division orders, transfer orders, contracts, leases, and title documents related to oil and gas activity. Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal land descriptions. Knowledge and understanding of property title concepts including conveyance distinctions in deed, assignments, and probate by state. Knowledge of mineral royalties, working interest, overrides, well production units, division orders, and mineral lease characteristics. Knowledge and understanding of legal entities.
