Expert Records Analyst - Electric Duties: Supporting Electric Operations in overall management of paper (physical) and electronic records as well as the efficient use of technology, tools and applications for managing the lifecycle of physical and electronic records in accordance with current records and information management standards and processes. Work directly with several organizations to implement compliant, efficient, and systematic control for the creation, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition of records, including the processes for capturing and maintaining evidence of information about business activities and transactions. Provide analytical and project management support in designing, implementing, and maintaining records and information management policies and procedures for electronic and paper records and data. Identification and implementation of policies, procedures and controls to manage active and inactive physical and electronic records, as well as compliance with all corporate policies and legal requirements for information access and retention. Support the development of procedures for quality assurance and compliance, and provide guidance and training. Act as a liaison between department records and information system users and technology staff to ensure that the business units’ records management needs are met.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Public Policy, Library and Information Systems, Information Technology, Legal Studies, or related discipline; or equivalent experience. 7 years' related experience in records management, compliance or equivalent experience Desired: Master’s degree (Business/Finance/Economics, IT, or Library and Information Systems) Records Management Degree, JD Degree, Paralegal Certificate or IT/IS degree Electric Utility, and/or construction company experience. Involvement in ARMA (Associate of Records Management and Administrators), AIIM or other related data organizations Strong understanding of ARMA International's Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles (GARP), US DOD 5015.02, ISO 15489, and other relevant RIM industry guidelines. Knowledge of systems and tools for paper and electronic records, such as Documentum, SharePoint, etc. CRM or other related certifications Knowledge of RIM legal compliance and audit governance. General knowledge of eDiscovery tools, PMP and Six Sigma concepts and practices. Leadership and detailed project and process management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influence skills with internal and external contacts of various levels. Presentation skills; ability to deliver technical training. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills. Process design and improvement skills. Change management skills May support one or more of the following departments: Distribution, Transmission, and Substation. Develop and manage road map and project plan to meet program requirements Develop line of sight goals, metrics and provide reporting as required Develop RIM compliance strategy for organization that position supports Develop and maintain taxonomy for organization that position supports, and support/implement ECM Support Session D, S-1, S-2 Lead and/or support development, implementation and management of records and information management policies, standards and procedures. Collaborate across the company to facilitate and support adoption of consistent records management practices and procedures. Develop and implement progress tracking and reporting for RIM initiatives focusing on business value, increased productivity, reduced risk and cost avoidance. Support records compliance activities (e.g. requirements gathering, solution development/implementation, annual records disposition reporting, destruction and certification of destruction process). Work collaboratively with Legal and Information Technology staff and other business units to develop and achieve RIM objectives Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Records Management Governance Framework, including implementation of the retention schedule, and preservation or destruction of records across the enterprise.
