Counsel - Employment and Compliance The candidate will provide legal support to the General Counsel on employment related issues including advising on employee relations issues and claims, investigating and responding to EEOC charges, FMLA-ADA issues, preparation of and assisting with ER/HR training, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, drafting and updating employee handbooks. Will work on corporate compliance programs, and otherwise generally assist the General Counsel in responding to the demands of a large and growing business.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should ideally have J.D. degree with strong academic background. Must be a member of one state bar (NY or CA preferred) with 4 - 6 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Should be a hands-on worker and team player. Should be practical, results oriented and able to partner effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must.
