Profile

Vice President - Human Resources The candidate will maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures firm's compliance. Will be responsible for compliance with federal, state, and city legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives. Implement and oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels. Oversee and ensure seamless flow of HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training and development. Implement and oversee company strategic recruitment and selection program to ensure selection of best candidates. Serve as key leader with respect to EEO complaints, staff grievances and internal investigations concerning all HR matters. Oversee relationships with all HR vendors, brokers, consultants, and HR attorneys on all compliance and legal matters related to HR. Proposes, publishes, and administers all personnel policies and procedures. Oversee all required regulatory surveys and audits. Serve as lead on all complex employee relations matters. Prepare and distribute HR related reports to CEO and executive management on quarterly and annual basis. Negotiate and oversee all employee benefits to ensure compliance and cost effectiveness for company and staff. Oversee all DOL benefits including unemployment, Short Term Disability, and Worker’s compensation programs. Monitor all performance programs including employee evaluations and performance improvement plans. Implement and oversee staff wellness programs. Participate in committees and special projects and all other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Public Administration. A Law Degree or Master's degree in Human Resource management or related Personnel/Human Resources field preferred. Should have 10+ years of managerial and supervisory experience in public or private personnel management. General knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of personnel management needed. Knowledge of the organizations and operations of administrative programs essential. Membership in Human Resources associations a plus.
