Profile

Senior Manager, Labor Relations Duties: Will partner with Director- Employment Practices to insure a union free environment across the company. Report to Director - Employment Practices Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development. Manage union election campaigns under the direction of Director. Employment Practices Design and implement union free learning programs across the enterprise. Manage issues effecting the enterprise involving organized labor; instruct business partners on handling of same in the field Lead Employment Practices project initiatives Conduct internal investigations.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification Requirements: A J.D. or MBA degree and retail and/or distribution experience. Experience with Teamsters and UFCW. The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. 6+ years of relevant work experience. Extensive knowledge of labor and employment law, particularly NLRA Experience managing multiple union election campaigns. Some overnight travel may be required.
