Adjunct Faculty - Paralegal Certificate The candidate will teach in the Paralegal Certificate program with the College of Professional Studies. Will teach specific courses in the area of Employment Law. Conduct in a professional manner all class hours as assigned by the course schedule and academic calendar. Create correct, professional syllabi that meet Faculty Syllabus Checklist requirements. Prepare and submit accurate and precise attendance rosters, student grades, book orders, leave reports, and other assigned documents when due. Utilize university digital resources such as Blackboard and Novasis to administer tests, record attendance, and submit grades. Create, administer, and accurately assess substantive assignments and activities that require critical thinking. Meet classes on time and for the full duration of the published class time. Attend college-wide meetings and paralegal graduation ceremonies. Maintain alternative educational activities that students may use in the event of faculty illness. Support and follow college policies and procedures. Provide accurate academic advising to student whenever needed. Participate in advisor in-service training. Must have experience working as or with paralegals. Should have ability to teach adult students using methods that promote engaged learning. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
