Labor Counsel Reporting to the Vice President, Labor Relations, Administration and Employee Development, and the Director, Labor Relations, the candidate will be accountable for providing expert legal advice on Labor Relations matters to senior staff and managers and serves as Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority’s legal advocate in labor arbitrations, disciplinary proceedings and administrative proceedings. A baccalaureate degree and four (4) years of full-time responsible experience in the fields of labor or employee relations including eighteen (18) months in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; OR Education and/or experience equivalent required. J.D. degree from an accredited Law School and 7 – 10 years of legal experience with primary emphasis on litigation and/or labor relations required. Knowledge: of statutory framework of labor relations in New York including knowledge of New York State Civil Service Law, Administrative Law and Taylor Law; of OATH practice and arbitration procedure required.
