Senior Counsel The candidate will advise management, Human Resources and other NBCUniversal lawyers with respect to all employment law issues, including business restructuring, employment policy development and application, worker classification, workforce management, discrimination and harassment claims, wage-and-hour and workplace safety. Will conduct and provide counsel on internal investigations of employment-related and other types of complaints, ensuring that claims are addressed promptly, thoroughly and appropriately. Will represent NBCUniversal, working with other NBCUniversal and outside counsel as appropriate, with respect to mediation and litigation of employment claims and the employment-related aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of businesses. Will draft settlement and separation agreements; draft mediation briefs and EEOC/DFEH position statements and responses. Will create and deliver management and employee training programs
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have law degree. Should be member in good standing of the State Bar of California or member in good standing of another State Bar and registered as in-house counsel. Should have minimum of 4+ years for Counsel and 6+ years for Senior Counsel of employment law experience. Must have ability to identify, prioritize and resolve legal issues quickly and effectively. Must have ability to approach complex legal scenarios in a thoughtful and analytical fashion. Must have ability to explain complex legal concepts, build consensus, think creatively and collaborate with clients to address business needs. Must have ability to build relationships across a large organization.
