ProfileEmployment Associate The candidate must have 2+ years of experience for an employment counseling position that will support domestic, cross-border and global employment work. International counseling experience is strongly preferred. Position will interact frequently with other offices in firm's global employment practice. Responsible for conducting employment diligence and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions; drafting and negotiating employment, retention and related agreements; advising on reductions in force and other employee terminations; drafting restrictive covenants and counseling on employee mobility; and conducting employment investigations, provide advice and counsel to emerging companies in all aspects of employment law, including compensation practices, commission plans, and leave practices. Should have immediately transferable skills and a strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential.
