Associate Attorney The candidate will report directly to two attorneys who are Vice Presidents, Global Corporate Counsel located in Atlanta and Chicago. Will review, analyze, interpret, draft and negotiate commercial contracts for our sales, account management, procurement, technology and supplier relations departments. Provide other legal support to senior legal staff responsible for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. Research cases, statutes, and regulations to determine compliance and precedence. Manage relationships and communications with internal clients, external clients, and external legal counsel and contract and procurement personnel. Assist with employment and other litigation. Assist in corporate governance matters. The candidate should be admitted to and in good standing a state Bar Association (all states will be considered). Baccalaureate degree from a four year institution; J.D. Degree from accredited law school. Must have 2 - 5 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house law department (large law firm commercial transactions experience preferred). Experience drafting and negotiation contractions (international contract experience is a plus). Must have a broad range of experience business transactional matters. International transactional experience would be helpful. Must have a customer service oriented approach to practicing law with an eye towards practical application and an understanding of how legal issues fit into the overall strategic plans of the business. Must be a proven problem solver and able to read situations quickly to hammer out tough agreements and settle disputes equitably. Should have ability to interact directly with the Company's senior leadership, proposing practical and creative solutions to complex business issues and providing pragmatic risk assessments.
