Executive Director Duties : The candidate shall be reporting to the Faculty Director and Associate Dean for International and Transnational Programs, provides management, direction, and leadership for the program. He or she works with the Faculty Director and Law Center Associate Deans to develop and significantly to expand the program initiatives, including a series of campus visits by ambassadors and officials from Asian countries and U.S. governmental, academic and other non-profit leaders and thinkers who deal with the legal, regulatory and policy questions in the Asia-Pacific region, including Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia.Manages the day-to-day operations of the program, overseeing financial resources and their allocation, and fundraising. Works on building collaborative relationships with partners on company's Main Campus, including the company Asian Studies Program, in the D.C. policy community and elsewhere in the academic, legal, business and policy communities in the United States and East Asia.Works with other professional in grant-writing and other non-profit developmental work for program support.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements : The candidate shall have a degree in JD degree or equivalent. The candidate shall have 3 - 5+ years - of equivalent managerial experience in law, business and/or academics. Experience or familiarity with East Asia, including proficiency in one or more Asian languages, along with exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, public speaking, and participation in international forums. Attentive to detail and willing to engage with other professionals in building networks and in maintaining and extending existing international relationships. Judgment, diplomacy, initiative, and an ability to work independently as well as entrepreneurially. Willingness and availability for domestic and international travel.
