Staff Attorney The candidate will work with two other attorneys and a legal assistant to answer member’s questions on public sector collective bargaining, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and MCHR. Will also field questions concerning education law under the Teacher Tenure Act, IDEA, FERPA, etc. In addition, will help create and provide training on these topics to members and coworkers. Will also provide assistance to local units on labor issues, negotiation of contracts and the bargaining process. Should have license to practice law in MO. Must have 3-5 years’ experience in employment and/or education law with experience in public sector collective bargaining preferred. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
