Assistant Director Duties: Reporting to the Director of the Environmental Policy Initiative, will be tasked with: identifying important legal questions in the electricity policy field; designing programs to address those questions, including developing program content, determining timelines, problem solving and negotiating with vendors; selects topics and develops content regarding salient electricity regulation and market oversight issues, in formats ranging from blog posts and grant proposals to white papers and scholarly articles, and oversees distribution; responsible for conceptual ideas and preparation of the communication strategy; advises and coordinates research activities with post-doc Fellows, student Research Assistants and outside partners; and developing and managing environmental policy events on campus.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD degree and 3 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience. Superior research, writing, editing and proofreading skills required, as are excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Substantive knowledge of energy law and FERC proceedings is important. Candidate would thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial, self-motivated environment. Deadline: June 30, 2016
