Title IX Specialist Duties: Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students/Title IX Coordinator, will be creating, organizing and implementing training on Title IX issues with students, faculty and staff. An integral part of the RWU Title IX Committee and will be involved in other Title IX responsibilities as assigned. Implementation and Continuance of Title IX Trainings: Create and implement Title IX trainings for students and student leader groups. This includes management and oversight of mandatory incoming student on line programs; Help select, create and manage on line Title IX trainings for faculty and staff; Create and implement presentations on Title IX and mandatory reporting for faculty and staff; Conduct Title IX training; Track, report and maintain training attendance information; Track budget and expenses associated with the University's Title IX program. Assist with the Coordination of Bystander Intervention Trainings for Students: Work with Green Dot team to implement Green Dot program; Help create and implement Bystander Program for "RWU xp", RWU's first year transition class; Assist with Weeks of Welcome all freshman Bystander/Title IX program. Oversee creation of Title IX publications: Create educational materials for campus community regarding Title IX issues; Work with Marketing and Communications on formalizing materials; Keep website up to date with Title IX information. Attend Title IX trainings as needed. Support the various programs and initiatives of the office in addition to primary duties. While focused on the varying needs, priorities, and resources of the office and of this position, will accept responsibility for additional initiatives as assigned by supervisor or his/her designee such as special projects, representing the department on campus wide initiatives or participating in events. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and uses discretion when supporting students, faculty and staff, and working with sensitive student information.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: Master's degree in a relevant field. Preferred: JD degree. Work experience in a college or university environment. Experience and trainings/certifications in Title IX issues. Knowledge of Title IX and VAWA (Violence Against Women Act of 2013). Experience creating and giving presentations on relevant topics. Ability to work independently, to prioritize work to meet deadlines and goals. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and advanced knowledge of PowerPoint or similar application. Proficient with social media and the Internet.
