Director Of Annual And Planned Giving The candidate will implement and evaluate the organizations annual and/or planned giving and personal solicitation strategies to acquire new donors and upgrade existing donors. Work contacts include board members, fundraising consultants, the college president, industry and community leaders, faculty, administrators, philanthropists of high net worth, the public, and external volunteers. Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, innovation, student success, integrity, and diversity in the performance of job duties. Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors; identify and solicit new gift potential; enlarge the donor base by attracting and retaining philanthropic investment at the college; communicates effectively and professionally orally and in writing; be a self-starter, comfortable working with substantial independence while being part of a team. Design and implement fundraising strategies for annual/planned giving and personal solicitation using donor acquisition and retention process of incorporates identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship; embraces best practices of move management theory. Produce all print and electronic material used in fundraising in areas such as annual/planned giving and personal solicitation. Develop, recommend, and monitor fundraising program budgets; maintains currency with all applicable laws, policies, regulations, and procedures. Provide general department support and fundraising assistance, while performing other duties as assigned. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in fundraising, business administration, communication, law, or related field required. 5+ years of progressively responsible experience such as developing, planning and implementing fundraising activities, program coordination and development, which includes 2+ years of supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation required. A Masters or Juris Doctorate degree in fundraising, business administration, communication, law, or related field preferred. Experience: providing customer service both internal and external to an organization; organizing and managing various projects simultaneously required. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to articulate organizational priorities and gift opportunities with enthusiasm and clarity required.
