Assistant Director - Equal Opportunity The candidate will be responsible for compliance with federal and state equal opportunity and affirmative action laws and regulations. Manage all of the affirmative action activities of the office, will share responsibility for ADA compliance, and will oversee the data management, reporting, data analysis and evaluation functions of our equal opportunity and Title IX compliance. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to lead teams of colleagues from other offices. Ability to develop rapport with employees at all levels of the university is critical to success in this role. Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree and 5+ years of experience in equal opportunity, affirmative action or related work, e.g., HR. experience in higher education preferred. Excellent: oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills required. Deep working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing equal opportunity and affirmative action obligations, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, Title IX, VAWA, Clery, and the regulations promulgated by the OFCCP required. Ability to: manage complex and highly sensitive issues with a high level of professionalism; maintain confidentiality and protect employee privacy; work effectively with a diverse range of community members required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
