Regulatory Compliance Manager The candidate's responsibilities include: Regular review and update of policies insuring product compliance in the areas of ERISA, IRC, COBRA, ACA. Products include administration of employee benefits such as COBRA, FSA, HSA, HRA, POP, as well as ACA compliance and ERISA documentation. Compliance support for management, sales teams, internal administrators, and marketing, including regulatory updates, refresher materials on current compliance issues, updates of best practices, etc. Support of ERISA document team, including reviews of ERISA wrap plan document and Summary Plan Descriptions. Support of Nondiscrimination Testing team, assist in developing reports to clients regarding compliance with nondiscrimination testing requirements under IRC sections 125, 105(h), and 129. Support of Benefits Services Solutions group, including research into health and welfare benefits administration inquiries by participants and employers. Support of Affordable Care Act reporting solution, responding to inquiries regarding Forms 1094 & 1095 reporting. Research on specific regulatory issues and preparation of supporting written communication as necessary. Written communication ranges from detailed white pages to concise blog posts depending on complexity of issue and its applicability to supporting the products.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree or significant compliance experience required. Graduate degree, including JD degree, paralegal certificate, Master’s Degree, helpful. Must have a detailed understanding of the regulations affecting at least one of the product offerings (e.g., Employee benefits administration, COBRA administration, Affordable Care Act, Nondiscrimination testing) coupled with a general understanding of legal requirements of the product categories. Must have strong research and writing skills and have a desire to provide support through various forms of media.
