Profile

Recruiting Manager Responsibilities: Support WAS office recruiting strategy development (jointly with OA, RP, RDs). Oversee office-specific recruiting efforts in support of annual WAS office Consultant and Associate hiring targets:. Candidate pipeline development. [In coordination with rest of global recruiting team] Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from managed schools/programs and formal channels (e.g., online applications, referrals). Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and converting candidates from “alternate” / industry sources. Decision-round interviewing. Offeree conversion. Drive BCG-wide recruiting efforts at WAS-managed schools / programs:. Annual plan creation. Annual budget development and oversight. Candidate marketing, screening, preliminary interviewing, and conversion support. Manage lateral recruiting efforts for WAS office in close coordination with region (by working with executive recruiters, lateral recruiting team, and other offices to fill WAS-office Project Leader or Principal positions). Manage the WAS office recruiting team: lead and develop the staff of Recruiting Coordinators, Associates and Assistants (currently scoped as four direct reports). On-board and team with WAS RDs to develop, execute, and evaluate season-specific candidate strategies; specific efforts include:. Specialist training and engagement. School-specific candidate targeting activities. Candidate coaching and feedback, relationship support. Decision-round candidate selection. [With RP, OA] Final candidate offer decisions. Conversion strategy and tracking. Offeree weekend strategies and execution. Manage WAS recruiting cadre training, commitment, and performance tracking processes (select and train interviewers, staff NAMR events and interviews with the right mix of consulting staff, ensure commitments are upheld, manage swap process, etc.). Manage WAS Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, including coordination and execution of orientation, training, case staffing, performance evaluation, and affiliation events. Manage annual budget for WAS office recruiting and internship activities. Ensure recruiting records, global database, and metrics are up to date and accurate. Help drive continuous improvement efforts in WAS office recruiting. Work with other offices in Northeast system to improve recruiting efforts and identify synergies across the system. Build network and liaise with peers in other offices as well as regional recruiting to ensure alignment on all initiatives. Help create content for monthly WAS Officer/Principal meetings, WAS staff meetings, and other relevant forums. Support broader WAS office Business Services Team management efforts. Support other special projects, analyses or initiatives as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: BS/BA required, MBA or advanced degree (PhD, JD Degree, MD) preferred. Consulting background at preferred; deep understanding of our target audience’s needs and skills associated with consulting role. Flexibility and some travel required, particularly around peak recruiting season. Strong organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness. Analytical proficiency; facility with numbers. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and work well under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Positive personal and professional image, high standards of professional behavior and ethics. Demonstrated leadership ability; works well as team player. Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to effectively persuade, influence, and negotiate. Comfortable in resolving conflict and people related issues. Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills; general computer proficiency. Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential.
