Employee Relations Specialist Duties: Responsible for managing ER issues and investigations, EEO complaints, other work-related issues and case documentation. ER Specialist will also serve as an escalation point on disputed workplace conflicts/concerns. The ER Specialist will work in close concert with Employment Law to evaluate and resolve the more complex employee relations issues. Investigate employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other work-related issues; recommend appropriate resolution of complaints and monitor results. Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings. Utilize Employee Relations Case Management (ERCM) System to manage cases from intake to resolution. Manage periodic reporting from ERCM and other related systems for various HR, Diversity and other stakeholders. Explain and provide advice to HR, managers and employees about Firm policies and procedures and the need for compliance. Streamline HR processes and develop related guidance materials and training for HR. Develop and deliver training regarding HR policy and processes for HR, managers and other employees as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. JD Degree and employment law experience a plus. 5+ years employee relations or related experience. Experience in managing employee relations matters; including complex issues regarding discrimination and harassment. Experience working in a large, complex organization is preferred. Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse employee related issues, concerns, situations.. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect. Exceptional detail and follow-up skills. Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action. Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of leadership and management skills and techniques. Multi-task oriented. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
