Employee Relations Consultant Duties: Provides Employee Relations support to Human Resources, managers and other functional areas on applicable issues as well as provide day-to-day counsel to employees and managers. Consult with managers on all ER related matters including employee discipline, job eliminations, ADA accommodations, alternative work arrangements and leave management. Conduct internal investigations of issues to identify possible violations and make recommendations of appropriate actions. Responsible for investigating and bringing to resolution cases brought under the internal employment dispute resolution process (Speak Easy). Lead or assist on projects. Provides expert ER consulting and guidance on employment policies, programs and initiatives in support of business objectives to foster an environment of positive employee relations, including providing guidance that manages and/or mitigates company risk. Manage employee relations practices in the delivery of services, including ADA Accommodations, I-9 and e-verify issues, and exit interview processes. Effectively manages/reports on Employee Relations-related data. Provide sound, constructive and timely consultation, coaching and training to managers, HR, the business and/or other areas on such topics as Job Eliminations, Employee Discipline, ADA, Attendance, and Leaves including but not limited to Short Term Disability, Family Medical Leave, Long Term Disability, Personal Leave, etc. Provide consultation on, and investigate and respond to, employee complaints through the Internal Dispute Resolution process (Speak Easy). Investigate issues raised through the Ethics Hotline. Help identify employment law and workplace trends (internally and externally), and may help design or provide training programs on relevant topics and/or provide guidance on other proactive steps to address topics of expertise as previously identified. Assists in responding to OFCCP compliance reviews and/or related activity. Collaborate with business partners across functional areas in support of interdepartmental initiatives and issues of company concern.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; advanced degree, such as J.D. Degree, strongly preferred. 8-10+ years of broad HR generalist or related experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws. Prior experience in conducting employee or similar investigations required.
