Labor and Employment Law Counsel - Corporate Duties: Provide day-to-day advice and support to all business units, HR and Recruiting concerning all aspects of the employment relationship for union and non-union workforces. Manage all employment-related litigation and agency charges. Provide analysis of proposed and new employment legislation. Provide guidance on all employment-related policies and programs, including affirmative action, background checks, immigration and some benefits. Coordinate and drive completion of employment-related projects, including internal process review, policy rollouts and implementation, and training. Develop a thorough understanding of Company's business and culture to identify trends and anticipate issues to provide practical, business-oriented solutions and long-term strategies.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: J.D. Degree from accredited law school plus 10+ years of combined law firm/in-house experience. Exceptional written and oral communication; collaboration and interpersonal skills; able to build strong working relationships at all levels of organization; able to provide practical solutions and advice. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and successfully in fast-paced environment and handle multiple demands with energy and urgency. Preferred: Strong academic credentials. Knowledge of labor law, benefits, California wage and hour and/or international employment law a plus. Competencies-Skills (Preferred): Project management.
