Strategic Sourcing Consultant 1 Duties: Supports required spend categories: Develops Strategic Sourcing strategies and leads contract negotiations for low to medium risk products and/or services. Controls all aspects of negotiations for low to medium risk/sized deals. Customizes contract risk terms and drafts non-standard contract terms and conditions to proactively address Strategic Sourcing, business and risk concerns. Researches and analyzes contract data, business goals and market conditions to proactively identify cost savings opportunities. Acts as the liaison for current and potential suppliers (low to medium risk/dollar spend). Takes a role in the development of a negotiations strategy. Accountable for category savings targets, and performance measures. Works with stakeholders to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service market strategies. Identifies and escalates risk-related issues, identifies alternative options/solutions. Resolves systems, recurring supplier and customer issues. Contributes to performance metrics and analytics, monitors supplier performance. Supports e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, environmental, and Strategic Sourcing cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies. Uses experience, supply base knowledge, benchmarking data, and market conditions to determine appropriate supply-side and demand-side category levers. May train and/or lead less experienced members of the team. Maintains current status and engagement information related to active engagements in Strategic Sourcing systems. Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sourcing, technical sales, consulting, or vendor management. Desired: Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management. Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment. Past experience with IBM Emptoris platform. Able to excel in high volume transactional environment focused on drafting and negotiating different types of supplier facing contracts. Licensed attorney. Past experience with Oracle PeopleSoft P2P platform. Understanding of key contract terms and conditions, as well contract structure. Deadline: October 25, 2016
