Executive Search Consultant Duties: Describe the essential activities performed in carrying out the objectives of the position, including: significant tasks, responsibilities, projects and decisions. Works with Director of Sourcing and Hiring Executive to understand the overall hiring needs and the specific skill requirements for the position(s) to be filled. Determines the strategy in locating only the best in class for Abbott. Makes cold calls for direct sourcing interviews. Conducts preliminary candidate screening to determine high-level suitability for a given position. Assess fit, qualifications, and determine competency matches. Markets initial opportunities with potential source to enhance Abbott’s position in becoming the “employer of choice.†Utilizes a variety of sources to locate appropriate candidate, such as, outsourcing, internet (job boards), data-mining, conferences, associations and direct mailings, along with feeling comfortable with a variety of search engines. Makes sure candidates from our internal job posting process as well as candidates through the employee referral program are considered first prior to reviewing external candidates. Reduce hiring time by effectively managing candidate pools identified. Develops appropriate reports with metrics on each assignment. Maintains and communicates with the Director of Sourcing regarding industry overviews, market trends and company profiles. Determines sourcing strategy and interacts directly with Abbott executives on scoping search. Interacts with Director of Sourcing to determine priority-sourcing methods. Screen potential candidates and present finalists to Abbott officers and executives. Source special diversity candidates.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Master’s Degree Master’s Degree. Ph.D. Ph.D. JD Degree. Certificate (Describe) Staffing or PHR. Must have recruitment research experience. AIRS Certification a plus. Excellent communication skills. Familiar with the recruitment search process, internet mining and other variety of sourcing methodology. Needs to be curious and comfortable contacting those who have no clue who you are. Good phone and interviewing skills; experience cold calling (up to 100 people week).. Strong results orientation. Handle confidential information with the highest degree of integrity. Understands the subtleties of communications/strong negotiating skills.
